ON-GRID SYSTEMS
In grid-connected systems, the user’s energy consumption is met from the energy produced by the photovoltaic (PV) system. In cases where the consumption is more than the production, the user gets the excess energy from the grid; On the other hand, in cases where the user’s consumption is less than the production, the excess energy is given to the grid with the purchase guarantee of the state. All data such as how much is consumed from the network and how much is given to the network are recorded thanks to the bidirectional counter used here or the meters prescribed by the government. In this way, it is ensured that even 1 kWp of the energy produced is not wasted. Anyone with an electricity subscription can get their energy from the sun by using these systems.
OFF GRID SYSTEMS
These are the projects where all the energy needed is met from the sun in places where there is no network. In these systems, the electrical energy produced by photovoltaic (PV) panels is stored in batteries and the user provides his energy needs (day and night) from these batteries. The capacity of the system can be sized to meet the needs of the user during the autonomy period (the process in which electricity cannot be produced from the sun). It is very important to do a professional study here. It is necessary to analyze the consumption devices and how much energy they consume. If necessary, the backup time can be kept a little longer to prevent power cuts even on days when there is no sun. These systems generate very logical commercial results compared to the generator and these investments can pay for themselves in a very short time.
